Anita Halper’s Vision & Future Pathways
Anita Halper was a visionary who championed the role of Speech-Language Pathology in assessment and intervention of adult neurocognitive disorders.
Following her vision, this course will provide an update of recent neuroscience advances in our understanding of adolescent and adult cognitive-communication disorders including dementia, traumatic brain injury, stroke and age-related neurocognitive disorders.
The scientific update will be followed by application and consideration for cognitive-communication assessment and remediation.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Apply new neuroscientific research findings to clinical assessment.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication related to patient cognitive-communication issues.
- Describe new cognitive-communication research for intervention planning.
